Ronald Anthony Gougenheim

He was born in Morgan City, LA on January 11, 1932. After graduating from St. James High School in Port Arthur, TX, he went on to receive a master’s degree from the University of the Incarnate Word.

He married his wife of 49 years, Patricia, in 1970, going on to have two children, Alisa and Chris.

Ron spent most of his professional career serving as an administrator for several non-profit organizations and touched the lives of many people.

Outside of work, Ron spent his time volunteering and singing in the church choir alongside his wife Patricia. This was something he truly loved. He also enjoyed fishing and was a passionate fan of the Houston Astros, Dallas Cowboys, and the Fightin’ Texas Aggies.

Ron is predeceased by his parents, Sam and Lucile Gougenheim, and his sister Elaine Young. He is survived by his two children; Alisa Swink and her husband Todd; Chris Gougenheim and his wife Michelle; his brothers, Tom and Sam Gougenheim; and his grandchildren, Jackson and Morgan.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm, Wednesday, June 23rd at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Frisco, TX.
