Patricia Ann Schaffer passed from this life on to her eternal home on October 10, 2017 in Frisco, Texas with her family at her bedside. Patty was born on January 22, 1939 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Ormonde Carey and Virginia Cook.
Patty graduated from Academy High School in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1956. She worked for the Prince Georges County public library system for 25 years as an administrative assistant. She married Don Schaffer in Erie, Pennsylvania on June 2, 1962 and they were blessed with 2 daughters, Debbie and Lori.
She loved to go shopping, especially for her favorite colors, red and pink. Her favorite movie was Pillow Talk with Doris Day and Rock Hudson. Patty was raised Baptist and was a member of First Baptist Church of New Carrollton for many years. Everyone knew Patty as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Her legacy will live on in her husband, Don Shaffer of Frisco, Texas; daughters, Debbie Stanton and her husband Paul of Crofton, Maryland, and Lori Orantes of Frisco, Texas and her husband Roberto Orantes of Odenton, Maryland; and grandchildren, Stephen, Bethany, and Emily.
