Michael Duane Hall entered the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 30th, 2022 at his home in The Colony, TX. He was surrounded by family and took his final earthly breaths singing praises to his Creator at the age of 62. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 16, 1959, the son of W.D. Parker and JoAnn Harlow.
During his time in college, a roommate’s actions led him to begin his journey of faith in Jesus. He gave his life to Christ and dedicated the remainder of his days to giving glory and honor to God and encouraging others along the same path. After college, Mike began his ministry coaching and teaching, and in 1986 he married the love of his life, Raylene Beth Branson. Over the next 36 years, Mike saw their marriage as a two-fold ministry, and the two worked faithfully side by side demonstrating a Godly marriage and partnership to all those they encountered. As an educator, he spent 40 years at 9 different schools, where he impacted the lives of thousands of young men and women as teacher, coach, athletic director, and assistant principal. In each of these roles, he made sure that his focus was first and foremost on pointing people to Jesus, and as a coach, he believed the wins would always come later. He had a way of making everyone around him feel important, but he always put his family first. Mike’s life was full of faith, family and friends, music, love, and laughter. He will be remembered by students, athletes, coaches, family, and friends as a humble man who sincerely loved others, and who was no doubt greeted in Heaven with the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Harlow, his stepfather, James Harlow, his sister Martha Ann, his mother-in-law, Sarah Branson, and his father-in-law, Eugene Branson. He is survived by the wife he loved, Raylene Hall, and his two precious girls Kristi Normand and Tiffani Hall; his grandchildren Tristan and Sadie Allen, and his son-in-law Tyler Normand; sisters-in-law Pam (husband, Bob), Renee, and Denecia; 15 nieces and nephews, and 11 great nieces and nephews, as well as his brother, Donald Jo Robbins and family in Oklahoma.
