Lloyd graduated from Goshen High School in 1961, and went on to study economics at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, where he met Cindy, the love of his life.
After Lloyd’s graduation, Cindy and Lloyd were married on August 21, 1965, and moved to Indianapolis where Lloyd studied business administration at Indiana University. Lloyd obtained his master’s degree in 1966, and promptly was offered an accounting position with Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, Ohio.
In 1974, P&G transferred Lloyd to the Traders Oil Cotton Gin in Fort Worth, Texas, where Lloyd managed their business affairs for 17 years and made many friends in their home town of Arlington, Texas. In 1991, Lloyd was transferred back to the P&G headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio, where Lloyd finished his lifelong P&G career. Lloyd retired in 2009 and returned to Texas, where Lloyd and Cindy settled in Frisco, made many new friends and spent time with their family and grandchildren. As a boy, Lloyd spent his summers at the family cottage on Lake James, Angola, Indiana, where he learned to love the lake and the outdoors. He spent countless hours with his brother and cousins fishing and canoeing. As an adult, Lloyd’s love of nature led him to enjoy hiking and biking, but his greatest love was golf. For his seventieth birthday, Lloyd traveled to the Pebble Beach Golf Resort in California where he played on the famous Spyglass and Pebble Beach courses. Lloyd also enjoyed playing bridge with his wife and friends, and was an active member of the Frisco Senior Duplicate Bridge Group and the local men’s bridge group. Lloyd enjoyed attending football and basketball games and drill team performances with his family and cheering on his grandchildren.
Lloyd’s favorite place to vacation was Hawaii.
