It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kyle Rainey. Kyle left us too soon, but his love, joy, humor, and legacy will forever remain with those who knew him. Kyle was born October 10, 1978 to his loving parents Kathleen Cheryl (Stanley) and Daniel Robert Rainey in Mission Viejo, CA.
Born and raised in Orange County, California, Kyle had an adventurous spirit that led him to embrace a variety of outdoor pursuits. Whether jet skiing on a lake, wakeboarding with friends, snow skiing in the mountains, or enjoying motocross racing, Kyle thrived in the natural world. Lakeside camping and house-boating were some of his fondest ways to charge and create lasting memories with family and friends.
A devoted father, Kyle was committed to his children's lives, especially their shared passion for sports. He took great pride in coaching Braden and Audrey in baseball and softball, offering not only his knowledge of the game but his infectious enthusiasm and love for the sport. Family vacations, especially the annual trips they took together, were a testament to his devotion and the close-knit bond he shared with his children.
Kyle was a passionate sports fan, and his heart belonged to a few teams that he followed loyally. He was a die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Angels baseball team, the Detroit Red Wings hockey team, as well as motocross and NASCAR. His love for these teams brought him great joy and was something that he often shared with family and friends in spirited conversations.
Kyle leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was more than just a son, father, and friend—he was a light in the lives of those he touched. His memory will live on in the stories told, the lessons learned, and the sports games played.
He is survived by his parents, Dan and Kathy Rainey; his children, Braden and Audrey Rainey; his extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of long-time friends. We take comfort in knowing that Kyle’s love for life, his family, and his passions will continue to inspire all who knew him.
In his memory, we will continue to cherish every moment, embrace the joys he loved, and hold onto the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind.
A celebration of life memorial service for Kyle will be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.
