Judith Ann (Beniach) Cox of Little Elm, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 20, 2021 at Sandy Lake Rehabilitation and Care Center in Coppell, Texas, where she had been a resident for five years. She was born on September 7, 1943 in Springfield, Illinois, the daughter of Andrew Joseph Beniach and Roberta Ellen (Pottinger) Beniach of Virden, IL. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden.
On January 26, 1963, she married her high school sweetheart, John Earl (Jack) Cox, and moved to Peoria, IL, where Jack was enrolled in the Engineering school at Bradley University. After graduation, they moved to Omaha, NE., where she was a prize-winning sales associate with Omaha Steaks International.
Judy enjoyed travelling with Jack, and visited Jamaica, Hawaii and Naples, Italy where she and Jack lived for three years.
In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by her children: Lisa (Ian) Barker of Little Elm, TX; John (Jodi) Cox of Prosper, TX and Christopher (Sarah) Cox of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren: Brittany Barker, Timothy (Kathy) Cox, Johnathon Cox, Thomas Cox, Amanda (Cox) Tricomi, Aaron Cox, Autumn Cox, Melanie Cox, Connor Cox; and four great-grandchildren.
A remembrance service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas.
A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Virden, IL., followed by interment in Virden cemetery. Date and time are pending.
