Born on Dec 24, 1949, in Mitchell, South Dakota, Janice was the beloved daughter of Josephine Marie (Bainbridge) Will and Robert Abraham Lincoln Will.
She grew up on the family farm which she described as “more work than fun”, but with a sense of humor that defined life, she fondly remembered riding a milk cow one day after a nap, finding adventure in even the simplest of moments.
Janice married Dennis Lee Alberda, and they shared 44 years of marriage and was a devoted wife. She cherished her children Paul (Karen) Aamodt and Nancy (Joe) Golden. She will also be remembered by her step children Angela (Hugh Gower) Alberda and Chad Alberda. She was a proud grandmother to Mikayla Freyberger, Tanner Jacobson, Logan Jacobson, Lydia Aamodt, Seth Golden, Jayde Alberda, Bailey Alberda, Cade Gower, and Quinn Gower, whom she adored with all her heart. Her love for them was boundless and she cherished every moment she spent with her family.
Her siblings, Donna Keller, James Will, Connie Tschetter, and Robert Will II and the memories they shared will be cherished by the family.
Janice was known for her bright smiles, quick wit, and infectious laughter. Her favorite flower was the Tiger Lily, and loved to shop, and decorate. She found peace in her faith, and enjoyed reading and traveling where many cherished memories were created.
Janice had a deep love for her family and was always teaching the importance of gratitude, hard work, and love. She was a woman of quiet strength and endless compassion, and her favorite quote from Helen Keller, “The best things in life cannot be seen or touched, but must be felt with the heart”, was truly reflected by the way she lived.
Her memory will live in the hearts of her family and friends who will forever miss her humor, warmth, and love.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and a sister along with many other loving family members and friends. She is survived by her husband, sister, children, grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial of Janice’s life will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. As a final tribute to her life and the loving partnership she shared with her husband, a proud veteran, she will be laid to rest in Honor at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery on October 24, 2024 at 2:00pm.
