James dedicated his life to his career as a barber, where he skillfully crafted hairstyles that left his clients feeling their best. His passion for his work was evident in the way he connected with each person who sat in his barber chair. James took great pride in his craft and was known for his attention to detail and warm personality.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, James valued his family above all else. He is survived by his loving wife Ida, who was a source of strength and support throughout his life; three children, Kim Hackbirth, Kris Hackbirth, and Kay Perry.
