James ''Jimmy D" Driscoll went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 28th, 2020. He was born June 30th, 1940 to Alvin and Maxine Driscoll in Salina, KS where he was the youngest of two boys. Jim spent most of his childhood in Wichita, KS where he attended Wichita State University and pledged Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. In 1960, he moved to Dallas, TX to finish his degree at Southern Methodist University. While at SMU he continued his involvement with the Betas and took on a new persona, "Jumpin Jim" as a varsity cheerleader. In 1962, he joined the Marine Corps and a year later he met the love Of his life, Peggy Joyce Evans, and they were wed on December 6th, 1963.
At his core, Jim had an entrepreneurial spirit. In the early 80's he created J Driscoll & Associates and began revolutionizing collection and reconciliation processes for the banking and business sectors. Since his retirement in 1999, Jimmy D loved playing golf, working out and traveling with Peggy. He was an active member at Gateway Church (Frisco) where he served as a greeter and always looked forward to his Friday morning Men's Group.
James, Jim, Jimmy D, Dad, Grandpa, however you may have known him, was a very generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Joyce Driscoll; son, Jason Driscoll (Kristy); daughter, Kelly Leamy (David); grandchildren, Preston Driscoll (Michael), Zachary Renfro, Everett Driscoll, Garrett Renfro, Chandler Paganis (James), and Lexi Renfro; great-grandchildren, Thea Paganis and RJ Driscoll; and his beloved dog, Gidget.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held on:
