James Paul Baber, age 60, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 1st 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. Jimmy was born November 25, 1954 to James and Charlotte Baber in Redding, California. His family moved from California to Texas when he was in 4th grade where they lived in Carrollton, Lancaster and finally at Cedar Creek Lake where he graduated from Malakoff High School in 1973. Jimmy was known as a hard worker; he worked his way through High School at Bill’s Marine and eventually moved on to Dallas Air Compressor where he became the top salesman. After his stint in the air compressor business Jimmy moved into the plumbing field where he worked in several different capacities up until the point of becoming disabled. In 1978 Jimmy celebrated the birth of his daughter and only child Jessica, with his then wife Janet. Most of Jimmy’s life was dedicated to raising his daughter Jessica and working hard. Jimmy was a doting Grandfather to his daughter’s three children Jacob, Hayden and McKenna. He often enjoyed sharing his hobbies with his grandchildren. During his spare time throughout his life, Jimmy enjoyed boating, scuba diving, camping, 4-wheeling, building model cars and rockets, collecting and shooting guns, completing projects around the house and tinkering with cars. He is survived in life by his daughter Jessica Wilson and son-in-law Daniel Wilson, his three grandchildren, Jacob, Hayden and McKenna Wilson, sister Annette Miller and brother-in-law Wade Miller, brother Johnny Baber, nephews Matthew Miller, Kevin Miller, Jason Baber and James Baber. Jimmy was preceded in death by both his parents James and Charlotte Baber and his nephew John Baber Jr. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 10th at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Rd, Frisco, TX beginning at 11AM.
