Harvey graduated from Keller High School in 1967. While he was a student he was an outstanding running back on the Keller Indians football team. After graduation he served in the USAF for four years. He became a police officer after serving and was with the Haltom City Police Department for 27 years, retiring as a Sgt.
Harvey loved to play golf, he also enjoyed Texas High School Football, NCAA college football, particularly UT with a recent interest in The University of Tulsa because his stepson, Jace Seals, played for them. Harvey loved to watch the Kansas City Chiefs. He got a kick out of going to flea markets and garage sales. Collecting and repairing tools was a hobby of his. He could talk with anyone about politics or sports. Harvey had a soft spot for music and at one time played the drums in a band.
Harvey is preceded in death by his father, Harvey Sr.; mother, Evelyn Ann Meeks; sister, Linda Roberts; nephew, Cary Roberts; stepson, Jace Seals.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette Hanson; sons, Christopher Hanson (Cassie) and Jordan Hanson; stepdaughter, Candis Douglas (Jeff); sisters, Sue Meeks and Jean Willett; grandchildren, Jameson, Johnathon, and Jackson Hanson, and Taylor and Kyah Seals; brother- in-law, Garner Roberts; and nephews, Aaron and Koy Roberts.
The family to start receiving guests on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Stonebriar Funeral Home, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, Texas 75033. Followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. An interment will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Park Grove Cemetery, 1000 W Houston St, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 74012.
