Frank J. Speyerer

Frank J. Speyerer, age 81, of Arlington, Texas passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He was born October 6, 1941 in New Orleans, LA to his parents Louise Ernestine (Egan) and Francis Jacob Speyerer.

Frank lived life to the fullest. He was a proud veteran, retiring as Lieutenant JG in the United States Navy. He was educated at Saint Joseph Seminary College (’61) and Louisiana State University (BS in Psychology ‘64, AS in Nursing ‘67). He held several professions, including law enforcement and nursing, and retired as an entrepreneur after successfully creating and managing a nursing staffing agency serving the greater Fort Worth area for many years.

Frank had many talents, including mastery of several languages (Russian, Mandarin, Latin, French), and advanced cooking and baking skills. He could usually be found in the kitchen creating Cajun recipes inspired by his favorite city of New Orleans, and always provided a Mardi Gras king cake. If Frank wasn’t in the kitchen or at the computer sharing recipes, he would likely be in his woodshop. As a child, Emerson had many handmade wooden toys, and Frank continued to share this talent with the community throughout his life by providing toys, cutting boards, furniture, and other items to friends and family. Most importantly, Frank was a devout Catholic and enjoyed attending services throughout the week at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Arlington.

Preceded in death by his father Francis Sr. and his mother Louise. Frank leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, of 44 years, Carol, his cherished son Emerson, daughter-in-law Sara, and beloved grand-dog Orbit.

A celebration of life memorial service for Frank will be held Friday, April 21, 2023, at 10:30 AM at Stonebriar Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 10375 Preston Road, Frisco, TX 75033.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Joseph Seminary College in Saint Benedict, LA.
