Ethan was born into the world with a grin on April 30, 1992 in Plano, Texas. When the nurses saw him they marveled. “Look at those beautiful dimples!” He grew up in The Colony, Texas, and the youngest of four children. He was a continuous source of amusement for his big brother Andy, his big sister Beth, and his big sister Jessie. They liked to call him Nog. He was playful, adventurous, and fearless. He made everyone laugh with his wry sense of humor and comedic timing. So often he could drop a movie quote that worked perfectly with any given situation.
He loved being on the lake with his friends, playing DOTA, and watching and analyzing movies. Many summer nights were spent having Mario Kart and Mario Party marathons with his siblings. He didn’t like to lose and Mario Party always cheated.
His fondness for animals led him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. He was interning at VCA Angel Animal Hospital in Flower Mound, Texas. He was particularly interested in surgery and exotic animals.
Ethan was a friend to all, and he was always there to help someone in need. He stood up for the underdog and always insisted on seeing the good in everyone. He had a true and tender heart and the most beautiful soul.
Ethan is survived by parents John and April Jenkins of The Colony, TX; brother Andrew Jenkins- The Colony; sister Elizabeth Jenkins-The Colony; sister Jessica Jenkins-The Colony; adopted brother Jim Richards-The Colony; Grandparents Norma and Roy Cortez-Eagle Nest, New Mexico; Grandfather Royce Murray-Commerce Texas; many aunts, uncles cousins, and beloved pets Grim, Tonks and Remus.
