Donald "Mitch" Whitney Jr.

Mitchell lived in the Dallas area all his life and was a graduate of University of North Texas. He enjoyed snowboarding, working on cars, and being a father. However, Mitch's most cherished moments were with his son, Hayden. There wasn't anything he would not have done for his son.

Mitch is survived by his son Hayden Whitney; his mother, Judy Whitney; two aunts, Jane Wardlaw and Robin Sugg; many cousins; and two sweet pups Bob and Owen.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Whitney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Stonebriar Funeral Home located at 10375 Preston Rd., Frisco, Texas 75033.

He will be laid to rest next to his father in Mertzon, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Mitch's name to Lakeside Dog Rescue, 11116 Windjammer Dr., Frisco, Texas 75036 or Irion County Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 92, Mertzon, Texas 76941.
