Danny D. Horner, 76, Frisco, TX died on August 23, 2014. Danny was born on December 15, 1937 in Hunter, OK to Marion R. Horner and Florence Louise Hoover. Danny is survived by his wife, Diane Horner; his two daughters, Barb (Greg) Dobbert and Sharon (Tom) Yehlen; grandchildren, Michael and Nick Dobbert and Emma Yehlen; mother, Louise Bradley; siblings, Leslie Kendall and Ray Horner; cousins Renee, Clark and David Hoover and Billy Albright; and many other loving family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Allen M. Horner, and father, Marion R. Horner.
Born and raised on the family farm in Hunter, OK, Danny was an integral part of the community. He served in the US Army, graduated from Oklahoma State University, earned a masters degree from Aurora University and worked as a US Food and Drug Administration investigator for thirty years. During his forty-eight year marriage to Diane, they lived in eight states, making friendships lasting a lifetime. Danny was a true Renaissance man whose vast knowledge, expertise and caring soul touched the hearts of many.
A private graveside service for immediate family will be held at a later date in Geneva, IL, where his son, Allen is buried.
