Cindy Lou Newton was born to John Riley and Betty Jo Newton on November 10, 1960. Cindy grew up the fourth of 6 children in Springer, NM. Family then moved to Fowler KS in 1968, she graduated from Fowler High school in 1978 and received her Associates degree in Art from the Colorado Institute of Art. She was a photographer’s assistant for many years at Gold’s Photography in Corpus Christi, TX and worked in the copy room at BWC in Dallas TX and was adept at digital photography. She also worked at Half Price Books and World Market. Cindy made many friends and formed close relationships with her coworkers. She loved to do arts and crafts, crochet, photography, reading, and going to movies, especially Sci-fi. Cindy also enjoyed going to Renaissance festivals and collected fairy and dragon mementoes. She liked spending time with family and listening to classic rock. Cindy was baptized in the Christian Church in Fowler KS.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, John Riley and Betty Jo Newton and her brother, Grady Newton.
She is survived by her sisters, Texas Belle Davis and her husband Lynn of Clayton, NM, Roberta Newton of Clayton, NM, Jessie Miller and her husband Mark of Frisco, TX; brother, John Riley Newton Jr. and wife Brenda of Dodge City, KS; nieces, Nichole Davis of Clayton, NM, Kylie Newton of Kansas City, KS; Nephews, Nicholas Newton of Loveland, CO, Justin Newton and wife Cassie of Clayton, NM, Kelan Newton of Dodge City, KS, Bennet Miller of Frisco, TX; grandnieces and grandnephews, Jaden, Jace and Callie; and many close friends at Half Price Books and World Market.
