Anne Marie Wood, age 68, of Little Elm, Texas passed away on Sunday December 15, 2019. Anne was born June 14, 1951 to Josephine and Ben Marfia. She grew up in Fennville, Michigan on a forty acre fruit farm and graduated from Fennville High in 1969 before attending Western State University.
A very giving, generous and supportive person, Anne was gifted in decorating and organization. Throughout her life time, she completely remodeled 11 homes. She began working in retail then later worked for both Moen and Liberty Mutual. She loved going to the movies, antique malls, reading books, shopping and spending time with her family. Anne was an excellent cook, baking butter horns for her son Chris was her specialty. Anne enjoyed a good love story, the classics, and war movies. She particularly enjoyed the movie Midway and anything with her favorite actor, Glen Ford.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Medical City Frisco and Medical City Heart Hospital in Dallas especially Dr. Machanna Ford and staff for their surgical efforts to save Anne's life and the 25 plus nurses that cared for and assisted Anne for 44 days. Their kindness and care will never be forgotten.
Anne is survived by her son, Christopher Wood (Bree); grandchildren Camdon Wood and Cailyn Wood; siblings, Maureen McDermott (Mike), Michael Marfia (Sally), Frank Marfia (Marianne), John Marfia (Francie), Marc Marfia (Marianne), Mary Jo Blacquiere (Doug), and Laurie Hutchins Martin (Reed).
Anne was preceded in death by; father Ben Marfia and mother Josephine Kindlarski.
