His daughters describe him as a perfect dad and selfless in every way. DeeDee, his beloved wife of more than fifty years, said Z was simply the best and she loved laughing with him.
Zaven was a gentle, generous man. He treated others with a quiet dignity. He was meticulous in all aspects of his life and was constantly in motion, taking care of "things" for his family and others. Many called Z when they needed a helping hand.
Z was a successful entrepreneur and thought numbers were recreation. He spent his leisure time reading on the deck at the coast, playing cards and backgammon, and walking.
Zaven in preceded in death by his parents, Nishon and Mary, his sister, Elisa, and brother, Harry. He is survived by his wife, DeeDee, two daughters, Gina McMurry (Nathan) and Tricia Rhoden (Kevin), five grandchildren, Max, Basia, Wyatt, Kenton and Elle, and his sister, Alice.
Zaven's legacy of generosity, kindness, and hard work left his corner of the world a better place.
