Yolanda C Cervantes

Yolanda C. Cervantes passed away on August 5, 2014, in Fresno, CA at the age of 68. She was born on June 15, 1946 to Ezequiel and Ofelia (Sistos) Cervantes in Leon Guanajuato, Mexico, something she was very proud of.

Yolanda was a homemaker who loved sewing, and cooking and baking for her family. She was a life long learner, especially History and Politics, and enjoyed soccer.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ezequiel and Modesto Cervantes; and sister, Ofelia Cervantes. She is survived by her husband, Luis Z. Cervantes of Fresno; daughters, Carolina Cervantes-Ruiz of Fresno, and Yolanda R. Cervantes of Clovis; son, Luis Carlos Cervantes of Fresno; sisters, Maria de Lourdes Cervantes-Gonzales of Chicago, Illinois, Magdalena Cervantes-Cuevas and Josefina Cervantes-Vasquez both of Mexico; brothers, Ricardo and Fernando also of Mexico. Yolanda is also survived by her grandchildren; Cristian, Yareli, Gabriel, and Brenda.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 475 N Broadway Fresno, CA 93701, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014, at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory at 5:00pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 4870 E. Belmont Ave Fresno, CA 93727, at 10:00am. Interment will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N Blythe Ave Fresno, CA 93706.
