William Dean Raney (Bill), a beloved member of the community, gently passed away on November 10, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on December 31, 1936, William lived a life etched with dedication and valor, embodying the traits of a truly hard-working and brave spirit, always devoted to those he cherished.
After graduating high school, Bill entered the United States Navy, where he served from June 1954 to 1962, a testament to his commitment and courage. His path of service continued as he transitioned to becoming an Investigator with the Fresno Police Department, a role in which his relentless work ethic and sincere devotion to justice were well recognized.
In the journey of his life, Bill shared profound love with his wife, the late Coletta Carolyn Raney. Their union was graced with the companionship and love of their two children, Bruce Kenneth Raney (Lena) and Scott Dean Raney (Lisa), their grandchildren Jason Raney (Rebecca), Allison Raney, and Andrew Raney, and their great-grandchildren Aubree Raney and Jesse Gomez and his brother Jerry Lynn Cassatt (Kathy) who carry forward his legacy of strength and affection.
As his journey continued, Bill indulged in his passion for uncovering hidden gems, thriving as a junk hound and antique dealer. His eye never failed to catch the sparkle of a personal treasure nestled within a yard sale or garage sale.
Bill will find his eternal rest at Belmont Memorial Park, a resting place that echoes the serene and steady essence of his life.
