William Henry Pratt, a faithful and devoted member of his community, passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 103. Born on December 19, 1921, in Bloomington, Illinois, William led a life marked by dedication and service.
A proud United States Navy veteran and Pearl Harbor survivor, William demonstrated courage and resilience throughout his life. After his military service, he pursued a career as a metal fabricator, contributing his skills and expertise to his profession.
William is survived by his loving wife of over 70 years, Pauline Pratt, and his son, William Brian Pratt. He leaves behind a cherished legacy through his granddaughter, Andrea Pratt Ward, and his great-grandsons, James William Ward and Henry Thomas Ward. He is predeceased by his sons, Roger Alex Pratt and Steven Douglas Dyer, as well as his siblings, Maxine D'Angelo, Lee Duke, Bazil Pratt, Daniel Pratt, and John Pratt.
A visitation will be held on February 3, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Stephens and Bean Funeral Chapel, located at 202 North Teilman, Fresno, CA 93706-1310. The funeral service will follow on February 4, 2025, at 10:30 am at the same location. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
William's life and legacy will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
