Wayne attended Day Program at Rivendell Community where he was well loved and cared for. He loved being with his friends.
Wayne had many challenges, but he overcame them, but this time he was ready to go on and be with the Lord. I’m sure he said, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: There is a crown of righteousness, waiting for me.
Wayne loved the Lord. He was a member of Family World Harvest COGIC, under the Pastor Herbert T. Seward Jr. Going to church and praising the Lord, was something he really loved. It didn’t matter to him, wherever he was, he would praise the Lord. He was a Praiser to his heart. He was non-verbal but he understood what you were saying to him and doing.
Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Versie Amey; two brothers, Fred Amey Jr. and Maxwell Amey; one sister, Sandra Kay Amey-Ward.
He leaves his cherished five sisters, LaPitcherette Seward and husband Herbert Seward Jr. of California, Diane Amey Simms and husband Rodney Simms of California, Sharon Amey, Felita Amey of California, and Jacqueline Amey of San Diego, California; one brother, Eddie Ray; four stepbrothers, Danny Alberty and wife Vickie, Lenard, Dan, and Don Amey, all of California and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
