Together with her husband, Romulo Rapinan, they built a life in the Philippines, raising six children: Siony, Rebecca, Arnel, Virgilio, Rosemary and Arnold. Following her husband’s passing in 1975, she became the sole provider for her family, raising her children with unconditional love and dedication. As a testament of her strength, Violeta uprooted her family at the age of 48, and embarked on a new chapter in the United States. Here, she fostered a loving haven for her children and embraced a new life with remarkable resilience.
Violeta's heart swelled with pride for her family, which grew to encompass eleven cherished grandchildren. She was a devoted member of the church and the Veterans American Association of Fresno, CA. She enjoyed spending time with her congregation, dancing group, and playing mahjong with her friends. She loved traveling, hosting family and friends during holidays, and cooking Filipino dishes.
Violeta leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering strength. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved her.
