Tony Castro Teniente, age 90, of Fresno, California passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Tony was born in San Antonio, Texas to Piedad Garcia and Cresencio Teniente.

Tony is survived by his wife, Alice G. Teniente; his daughter Sandra Calhoun; his daughter Marie Mercado; and his daughter Sylvia Herndon.

Tony was preceded in death by his father Cresencio Teniente and his mother Piedad Garcia.

Mr. Teniente also leaves behind numeorus family and friends to cherish his memory.

A visitation for Tony will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Fresno, 475 North Broadway, Fresno, CA 93701. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 6:00 PM, 475 North Broadway, Fresno, CA 93701. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4636 W. Dakota Ave, Fresno, CA 93722. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 11:30 AM at St. Peter's Cemetery, 264 N. Blythe Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.

Serving as pallbearers are Miguel Mercado, Darnell Calhoun, David Herndon, Mike Hunsaker, Manuel Reyes Jr. and Angel Ortiz.
