Spencer was born on October 31, 1993, to David and Kelly Irwin in Fresno, California.
He grew up in Clovis, California and had so many friends. He loved to skateboard, hike and was passionate about his love for family and friends. His kind and loving heart meant that he would never meet a stranger. He was the most nonjudgemental and giving person we have ever met, and it is our mission to follow his example.
Everyone who loved Spencer knew of his struggles with alcohol. He was transparent about his recovery in hopes off inspiring others. He fought fiercely and courageously for himself but just as hard for others in recovery. He was in school and was almost done with his dream to become a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor.
There are so many stories about how he changed lives for the better and was instrumental in others success. He often left his home with extra clothes to hand out to others less fortunate and would even literally give others his clothes off his own back. We will continue that journey for him.
Spencer is survived by his parents Dave and Kelly, his brother Blake, his extended family who are too numerous to name; the love of his life Cayt and his dozens of friends.
Services will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, 11:00 am at New Covenant Community Church, 1744 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, California. A reception will follow.
Feel free to dress as colorful and vibrant as Spencers' personality.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Centers for Living at www.centersforliving.org. Spencer was passionate about their mission of providing a safe, sober, and empowering housing environment for people who are displaced.
1 John 3:17 “If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?”
