She spent the early part of her life in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Ruth attended Providence Bible Institute and North Adams Teachers College. She taught elementary school in Massachusetts before coming to California to teach in La Grand and Fresno County. After retirement, she participated in the GAB (Grandparents and Books) program, reading to children at Gillis Library. Ruth was also active in Peoples Church in the children's department and loved traveling.
She is survived by her sister, Mildred Dadoorian; her brother, Dana Keyes and his wife, Loretta; three nieces; two nephews; seven grandnieces, and six grandnephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at Peoples Church, G.L. Johnson Chapel on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery, Turners Falls, Massachusetts.
