Ruby H. Price

March 9, 1933 – November 17, 2012

Ruby was born in Hamlet, North Carolina on March 9, 1933. She was a graduate of the school of nursing at High Point University and she attended postgraduate school at Jersey City Medical Center in New Jersey. She joined the Air Force Nursing Corps in New York City and was working at Parks Air Force Base in Alameda, California where she met David Price.

Dave and Ruby were married on October 6, 1956 and after living in the San Francisco area for a few years, they both retired from the Air Force and made their home in Fresno. Ruby was the OB Supervisor at Fresno Community Hospital for several years; however, her career was cut short by an auto accident in 1971.

Dave and Ruby had 56 wonderful years together, and Ruby is survived by her devoted husband Dave, their son Philip of Fresno and his wife JoNell and their daughter Jana; and their daughter Suzanne of Boise, Idaho and her sons Ryan Cronin of Boise and Daniel Cronin of Fresno.

Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel in Fresno on Wednesday, November 21st from 2:00pm to 7:00pm, and a celebration of Ruby’s life will be held at Saint Columba Church on Palm just North of Shaw on Tuesday, November 27th at 11:00am.
