Roxanne was such a beautiful person, I can't imagine not meeting her. In the time I knew her we became very close, she is absolutely irreplaceable.  The photo I included is from a night we spent out at phelonies. We shared meaningful conversation, and some tasty treats too. I'll treasure that night forever ❤

I  am full of hurt to say goodbye after knowing you since we were 15 years old, but I know your soul and it is not lost. I know you’re still here with your babies and I’ll see you in every rose I come upon and hear your voice in every Selena song.

You were such a beautiful human being.  Your laugh was so contagious that I can still hear it anytime I think about it. You were so witty and so hilarious. It only took a few hours on the day we met for me to know that you were going to be an amazing friend of mine. You were selfless and so heartfelt. You were wise beyond words about so many things and constantly taught me new things every single day that we spoke. You were full of ambition to be the very best at everything you did. I know that everything you did, was for your sweet children. Thank you for making a permanent imprint on my life. I will sincerely miss your phone calls and going out to eat with you. I'll miss talking about our children and cats with you. You will never be forgotten, and I will hold onto our memories together for life. 

High school was along time ago but we never stayed out of contact for too long you and I, even more so in the last few years. 

You were always troubled but you always came out on top. I admired your perseverance and determination to better yourself and those around you. 

I just wish I would have been as good a friend to you as you were to me. Maybe if I simply said “I love you”, things would be different.  I wish I could have given you a hug. 

But we do not duel on the past, instead we live in the present and that’s something that you always did. Lived for the now. 

Rest In Peace. I feel lucky to have called you my friend Roxanne!!!

Rox brought poetry, pride, esteem, sincerity and companionship which I will remember for the rest of this life.  Over at least the 15 years we knew each other and growing up together, nobody ever demonstrated what true values were like she did. Authenticity, resolve and character,
An eternal friend in every sense;  there will only ever be one.

Roxanne, I worked with you for about 8 months closely while you were on orders with the 947th.  Such a hard working motivated soldier with lots of goals in mind. Always looking for the positive in a rough situation. Your smile was contagious to anyone around. You will be missed more than you'll know. You are thought highly of by all you have come in contact with. Till we meet again my friend.

Roxanne was a hard worker, she cared deeply for those around her, and was willing to help in any situation she found those people in. She made the effort to make the most of any such situation, radiating positivity in tough spots, and giving empathy to those who couldn’t for themselves. She was a beacon of humanity and kindness in a world that couldn’t find its strength to reciprocate such support and sentiment. See you around, Soto, miss you till then.

You were a young motivated soldier when you came to the 947th Engineers. I appreciated how you were always willing to work out of your comfort zone as well as use your personal experience and knowledge to help other soldiers as well as me .  Your hand writing on the white boards  was always written with perfection and grace. It will all fade away with time as we all will, until Valhalla Specialist Soto, I appreciate you and wish I would have done more to be there for you as one of my soldiers, I tried, I failed. I promise to be better for the next person. God Bless you, may he look out for your kids and family in this time of struggle.
