Rose Mary Garcia

She was born in Brownsville, TX, to Ponifacio and Francisca Guajardo, on September 7, 1934.

She moved to Pinedale, CA after graduating from Brownsville High School.

Soon after, she married her loving husband, Robert Garcia, on September 14, 1957, a marriage lasting

61 years. For a majority of their lives, Rose Mary and her husband explored the mountains of the

Sierra Nevada, took yearly trips to Reno, and enjoyed the excitement of Raider's football.

The couple moved to Clovis after being married for five years and where they continued to raise their five children, Cindy, Raymond, Steven, Matthew, and Mark. While building her family, Rose Mary found

a career in bus driving for Kiddie Kare centers. After retirement, Rose Mary focused on caring for her family for the remainder of her life. Besides raising her own children, she took part in raising her six grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Steven, Jeneka, Malena, and Elijah. Before passing, she greeted two greatgrandchildren, Bracken and Grayson. Rose Mary will be severely missed by her family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Clovis Cemetery.
