Mr. Ronald J. Castillo entered into rest peacefully Thursday, March 12th, 2020, surrounded by his family and friends at Community Regional Hospital in Fresno, CA. Ron was born on February 16, 1970 to Ronald Castillo and Beatrice Gomez in Fresno. He had lived in Coalinga with his wife, Diane, the last 5 years. Ron had just turned 50 years old one month prior to his passing.
Ron graduated from Fresno High School in 1988 and then went on to graduate from Fresno State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Education was very important to Ron, who was always trying to learn more. Ron was kind, generous, hard-working, and was very loved by all who knew him.
Ron met his best friend and love of his life, Diane, while at Fresno State University. On July 13, 2010, Ron and Diane were married in a Catholic Church in Salinas, followed by a reception near the ocean, since it was their favorite place to visit. They planned trips and traveled often to Monterey, Yosemite and Las Vegas. They were frequent concert-goers, with his favorites being Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Elton John. Ron was also a San Francisco 49ers fan.
Ron was preceded in death by his grandparents, Guadalupe R., Nellie Perez, Louis Castillo,
and his aunt, Irene L. Perez.
Ron is survived by his wife Diane M. Castillo; mother Beatrice Gomez {Ascencion}, father Ronald Castillo {Maria}; mother-in-law Fatima Leonardo {John}; uncles Carlos Perez and Louis Castillo; brothers Jason Castillo {Adrianna} Joe Gomez {Danielle}; brothers-in-law Tony Andrade {Katie} and George Andrade, sisters-in-law Elizabeth Ratto {Shawn} and Cindy Avila, sister Tina Castillo; nephews: David J. Castillo, Brian, Matthew and Zachary Andrade; nieces: Lucy Gomez and Peyton Ratto.
He also has many cousins in the Fresno area.
