Rogelio was born on April 2, 1942 to Eusebia Alvarez and Juan Ortuno. They had six children and were raised in Petalan Guerrero Mexico, and Rogelio was the second to the youngest child.
In 1991, Rogelio moved to Kerman, CA USA at the age of 49.
There he worked at the Satragni Ranch and worked various farm labor work. In 1992, during his stay at the ranch he met Laura, the love of his life. They married on March 31, 1997 in Fresno, CA and together they had two sons named Brian and Christian.
Later, he worked at Gallo ranch where he did grape harvest, picking, pruning, and weeding. He also worked seasonally at Central California Almond Growers as a tractor driver and eventually retired in January of 2020.
One of his Rogelio’s proudest moments was when he became a USA citizen in November of 2018 in Fresno, CA. He was a believer of God and attended Church regularly at St Anthony’s of Padua in Fresno, CA. He loved to travel and enjoy new sites and also enjoyed his luck at the local casinos.
Rogelio adored his wife and was always happiest spoiling her. He was also very proud of his sons and he always ensured they had everything he could to provide for them. Even the recently newest family member, an orange Maine coon cat named Kitty.
Rogelio was also happiest with his new hobby of raising Boer goats in Kerman, CA.
Rogelio is survived by his wife Laura and sons Brian and Christian.
Will sorely miss this generous man, He will be missed so much, but he will be daily in our hearts until we meet again on that glorious Resurrection Day.
