Robert Charles Hernandez

Robert was born on June 27, 1956 in East Los Angeles, California to Lydia and the late Charles Hernandez and entered into glory on September 13, 2016 surrounded by his family. Robert graduated from McLane High School. Shortly after graduation Robert entered the military serving in the branch of the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he returned to Fresno in 1980.

Robert married the love of his life, Selena "Nina" Basham on November 21, 1981 and had two beautiful daughters, Nina Rochelle in 1982 and Corina Atheen in 1983.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Hernandez and nephew Anthony Martinez.

Robert leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his mother Lydia Verdugo; his wife Selena; two daughters, Nina and Corina; four grandchildren, Alec Anthony, Allie Jade, Noah Jae and George Jacob; three sons in law, George "JR" Duarte, Daniel Martinez and Jerry Hughes; three sisters, Rosemary Quevado, Barbra "Bebe" Rocha, Denise "Nini" Verdugo; one brother Ruben Verdugo and two wonderful sisters in law, Tracy Basham and Jeannie "Baby" Martinez as well as countless extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the Cornelia Ave. Southern Baptist Church 5015 W. Clinton Ave. Fresno, CA. 93722 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held, Tuesday September 27, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Cornelia Ave. Southern Baptist Church, 5015 W. Clinton Ave. Fresno, CA. 93722.

Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
