On Friday, May 8, 2015, Rickey Dale Mellenberger passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48. Rick served in the US Navy for 10 years and was a Desert Storm Veteran. When he retired, he went to work for The Waste Water Plant of Fresno.
Rick was a loving husband to his wife of 30 years, a loving and caring father to his two daughters, and a proud grandfather to his three grandchildren. He had a kind soul and was a great friend to many.
He is survived by his wife, Christine; daughters, Heather Mellenberger and Brandy Washburn and her husband, Jarod; grandchildren, Mackenzie Mellenberger, Alexander and Landen Washburn; sisters, Ruthie Stolze, Marnie Dymond, and Dawn Anaradian; brothers, George Stolze and James Leal.
After he passed he became a real life Superhero to many by donating himself to help others in need. Rick will be missed dearly by many and never forgotten by all.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Tinkler Funeral Chapel & Crematory from 2 to 7pm.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Belmont Memorial Park at 10:00am.
