He graduated from Kerman High School, where he played football and was involved in several school organizations.
He also attended Fresno City College and worked for Sebastian Telephone Co. for six years.
Richard's love, sense of humor, and compassionate presence will be greatly missed by his family and friends. On behalf of Richard, his family would like to thank in advance, all family, friends and acquaintances for your support, prayers, and caring thoughts.
Richard is survived by his parents, Miguel and Ortencia Escamilla; his brothers, Mike and Christopher; sisters-in-law, Josie and Gema; and his six beautiful nieces, whom he adored.
Visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kerman, CA, on Friday, July 24, 2015, from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m., followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
