Raymond was drafted into the Army on April 20, 1943 and spent two years in India during WW II. He was discharged on January 11, 1946.
In March 1947 Raymond married June Remer.
Raymond moved to Fresno in 1959. He worked as a Warehouseman for United Grocers and served as a Shop Steward. From 1964 to 1974 he served as President of Teamsters Local Union 431.
Raymond married Maria Maciel in 1972.
Raymond was preceded in death by June and Maria and grandson, Larry Hendrix.
Raymond is survived by Janet DeLuca and husband, Jack, Judy Woodard and husband, Doug, Kay McKinney and husband, Brad, step-daughter, Marie Brock and husband, Dave, adopted son, Dr. Hygin Andrew and wife, Rosemary, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren.
