She was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. Petra was a homemaker, farm laborer and cantaloupe sorter. She loved to dance and garden.
She was preceded by her husband, Luis G. Rivera and brother, Miguel Rodriguez.
Petra is survived by her brother, Salvador; sister, Evangelina; her daughters, Evangelina, Alicia, Leticia and Julia; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mendota, on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church on Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.
