Pat was born on May 3, 1936 in Salem, Massachusetts and passed away to her heavenly home on December 29, 2019 after dealing with many health struggles over the last few years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. Pat moved from the east coast to Fresno in 1970 with her husband Dick and only daughter Catherine and spent the last 47 years creating a lifetime of wonderful memories here in the Valley.
In addition to a great love for her family which was her pride and joy, she was an avid cook, gardener, artist, crafter, baseball fan, music lover, volunteer at Kaiser Hospital for 10 years and loved to travel. She was a member of the Fresno Organizers for many years learning to play the organ and participated in countless performances and shows with so many great friends made along the way! She and her beloved husband Dick constantly took trips to their many favorite places at the coast and numerous cross country trips back east to visit family and to their condo in Vero Beach, Florida. Together they were also property managers of Shawbrook Estates for over 20 years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Red Berries and a docent at the Shinzen Friendship Garden in Woodward Park.. Her faith was an important part of her life and at St. Anthony’s of Padua parish she was also a member of the Silver Leaves Club.
Pat will be remembered for her fun loving spirit, sense of humor, “Massachusetts accent” and the love she had for God, her family and friends. She loved her grandchildren dearly and never missed an event and could be seen cheering at every sports game throughout the years at St. Anthony’s School and San Joaquin Memorial.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Freda Tighe, brother Thomas Tighe, Jr., sister Charlotte L. Tighe and husband Richard W. Poitras. She is survived by daughter Catherine P. Jameson and husband Michael, grandchildren Chandler and Hunter Jameson and great-granddaughter Chloe Grace as well as brother Kevin P. Tighe, wife Janis & family of McLean Virginia and sister in law Liz Tighe & family of Salem Massachusetts.
The family would like to thank all those that helped and cared for her at Oakmont of Fresno and Shawbrook Estates.
