Patricia Joan Berryman

She attended schools in Fresno, California, graduating from Fresno High in 1960 and Cal State University Fresno in 1964. Pat was an educator, teaching for 38 years at the elementary level. She also volunteered in the classrooms of her grandsons after her retirement. Even after her grandsons move on from elementary schools, teacher would ask her to stay and continue volunteering.

Patricia taught Sunday school in her church and always helped out during a church summer bible school.

Patricia loved visiting Santa Cruz, California, where her parents had built a beach home. Loved the walks on the beach and gardening around the home. Also, she kept in touch with 6 of her girlfriends from Fresno High and love their annual get together at different places. Paddling down the Rogue River was one of her favorite moments.

She met her husband Barry Berryman on a blind date. They soon fell in love and married in March of 1976. For 47 years they were true life partners, raising their blended family, traveling and embracing life together.

Pats favorite verse was Joshua 1:9. Staying strong and courageous. Pat passed away surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her mother Zella Riddle, her father Rodney Riddle and her brother Gary Riddle. She is survived by her husband, Barry Berryman, her daughters, Traci Badiali and Kristi Preis. Her stepsons, Michael and Geoffrey Berryman, her grandsons Zachary and Joshua Preis and her step-grandchildren Hailey and Damon Berryman.

A Celebration of Patricia’s life will be on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Northpointe Community Church, 4625 W Palo Alto Ave, Fresno, CA 93722.

Remembrance may be made to Valley Children’s Hospital - Hematology Dept. and to Nancy Hinds Hospice in Fresno, California.
