Mr. Norman K. "Bucky" Harris

Bucky was born in South English, Iowa on January 22, 1926 and graduated from Palatine High School outside of Chicago, Illinois.

After serving in the United States. Navy during WWII, Bucky attended and later graduated from the University of Iowa where he played basketball and, more importantly, met his loving wife, Margi in 1948. Bucky and Margi were married for 64 years.

He had a rewarding career in the automobile industry, both at Chrysler Corporation and later, starting in 1970, as a new car dealer in Fresno. ...."Remember, that's Nobody but Noooobody!!!"

Bucky enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends in both Fresno and Rancho Mirage. He steadfastly claimed he never lost a golf bet with any of his buddies. We will always remember Bucky for the twinkle in his sparkling blue eyes, keen sense of humor and generosity.

Bucky was pre-deceased by his wonderful mother, Georgia, and his dear sister, Roberta. In addition to Margi, Bucky is survived by: Tim and Leanne Harris, Patti and Mike Carey, Bill and Susy Harris, Suzy and Ben Ewell and John and Kina Harris; grandchildren: Caroline, Joseph and Matthew Harris; Jordan, Taryn and Jackson Harris; Austin and Nanda Ewell; Brice and Jessica Ewell; Harrison, John-John and Tucker Ewell; and Mikaela, Zachary and Nicholas Harris and great granddaughter Kaytn Ewell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 355 E. Champlain Drive, Fresno, California. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Nancy Hinds Hospice or Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fresno.
