Nancy Mayfield, proud to be the daughter of Alice, her Armenian Blue Ribbon Baker extraordinaire mother, and Harry Harroutinian, her first generation to America craftsman carpenter father, has departed her earthy abode and gone on ahead to her reward, to be with her King the very Lord and Creator of all things.
Nancy was born, raised and lived in Fresno for all but 26 months of her active and fulfilling 68 years. She with her husband took a little adventure that led her right back home to Fresno to spend with family and friends the last two and half months of her beautiful life.
She is survived by her husband Tracey Ben Mayfield of 25 years; her brother David Harroutinian; two step-daughters, Talitha Backman and Dayana Stockdale; four grandchildren; cousins she considered her siblings; and many more sisters and brothers in Christ.
Nancy highly regarded her Armenian heritage.
She was a kind and friendly individual.
An honest and truthful person.
A fun and adventurous woman.
A beautiful and honorable lady.
A trustworthy and loyal friend.
Always loving and reliable to her family, and a compassionate and devoted wife.
She approached each day positively, planned for the future cautiously, and anticipated eternity expectantly.
Her foundation is Jesus Christ and her desire was to be obedient to him.
I believe she is loved by all who knew her.
I know she is loved by me, who adored her.
She knew she is precious to Christ who died for her very soul.
My loan has expired after 25 years, but my love remains for my sweet Nancy dear.
