It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Matilda Angelina Gonzales, 80. She was born on March 14, 1942, in San Marcos, Texas and passed away surrounded by her family on February 4, 2023, in Madera California. She is survived by her children, Gary (Raylene) Gonzales, Julie Alejo and Thomas (Erica) Gonzales. Matilda had 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Genero Guerra, Aggie Cruz, Ralph Guerra, Frank Guerra, Mario Guerra, and Jenny Rodriguez.
Matilda is preceded in death by her husband Tomas Gonzales Jr., parents Juan and Andrea Guerra, and siblings Juan Guerra, Lucia Natal, Maria Guerra, Daniel Guerra, Rosie Estrada, Steve Guerra, Lupe Guerra, and Joey Guerra.
Matilda lived in Kerman most of her life, where she was employed with the City of Kerman for 28 years as an accounting clerk. She spent her retirement years watching her grandchildren play sports, and her later years spending time with her family and enjoying her great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank everyone who has extended their love and support during this difficult time.
