She and her family immigrated to USA in 1922. In 1930,
she married Howard Gong Wong for 66 years until his passing in 1996.
Mary was recognized and praised for her talents as a cook, baker, and also as a seamstress.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Chan Yen Gong and Wong Shee Chan; her sons, Eugene Gong and Thomas Gong.
Mary is survived by her two sisters; two daughters, Eva O'Young and Jeannette Derr; three sons, Richard Gong, Roger Gong,
and Howard Gong Jr.; 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, July 25, 2014 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m.,
Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
