Mary was always an active member of the three parishes she belonged to over the course of her life in Fresno: St. John's Cathedral, Sacred Heart and St Anthony of Padua. In 1978 she received the Pius X Award for her "outstanding and dedicated volunteer service as a minister of God's word through Catechetics."
She is survived by her sons Gary Ramirez and James Bartimus; daughter Carol Ramirez; grandson Spencer Bremer; sister Concha Estrada and brother Jerry Magdaleno and sister-in-law Bertha Magdaleno and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home on Sunday, February 21, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 4pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 9:00 am. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Ralphie, Carla and Tina, the Pro-Hospice nurses and staff and the Dial for Care staff who cared for Mary during the last three months of her life.
