Mary Elizabeth Mew Quon Gomez

She grew up as the youngest daughter of six children. She attended Star of the Sea, then continued her education at Honolulu Business College. She met the love of her life while he was stationed in Kaneohe Bay Marine Air Station in 1969. They joined in Holy Matrimony on April 7, 1972. Mark & Mary had their first child, Marcus, on March 19, 1974. Their daughter, Joanna was born September 19, 1977.

Mary worked at the IRS for over 25 years. Ohana and culture were very important to her.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Edith Lee and sister, Jeanette Lee.

Mary is survived by her husband, Mark M. Gomez; son, Marcus Gomez; daughter, Joanna M. Leal; grandsons, Josiah Gomez, Keanu Leal, and Keahi Leal; brothers, Mike Lee, Joseph "Butch" Lee, and Eddie Lee; sister, Iyseas Lee; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The Gomez family would like to express their sincere thanks for your thoughts and prayers during our loss. She will truly be missed!

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Fresno Memorial Gardens at 10:00am
