Mary Juliana Gaitan

Our beloved mother was lifted to the gates of Heaven on Monday, November 21, 2016 and is now a guardian angel to all of her family and friends.

Mary loved to garden and had many flowering plants, fruit trees and vegetables, she had such a green thumb. Her favorites were her rose bushes and her strawberry patch. She loved to knit and crochet. She loved to knit one special item for the birth of her grandchildren. She would read her prayer book daily. She enjoyed watching novellas (Spanish soap operas). She was very proud the day she became a naturalized US citizen. She taught us to be strong and compassionate and instilled in us her relentless work ethics.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eusebio: son Theodore and granddaughter Ariel.

She will be greatly missed by her children Josephine Gaitan-Koseki, Salvador Gaitan, Elsie Gaitan and Gloria Silva; her grandchildren, Michael Silva, Stefani Cabrera, Kristy Aguirre, Phelicia Harvey and Arica Gaitan; her great grandchildren, Malik Williams, Bobby Brooks V, Desiree Silva, Michael Silva, Jr., Marcus Silva, Christina Silva, Alicia Silva, Dominic Aguirre, Jeremiah Aguirre and a host of family and friends.

Although our hearts are broken and the pain seems unbearable, we rejoice in knowing that you will be waiting for us with open arms when we see you again. We'll love you forever, we'll love you for always Our Guardian Angel, "Our Beloved Mother."

Visitation will be held at Tinkler Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 2:00pm to 7:00pm followed by a Rosary beginning at 7:00pm

A mass will be held on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Church. Internment will follow at St. Peters Cemetery
