Brief illness, Mary went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Mary was a good and faithful follower of Jesus Christ our Savior. Mary was born on June 20, 1932 to Odell and Iva Gardner in Atwood, Oklahoma. Mary’s family moved to Fresno from Atwood in 1936 and lived in the Central Valley, primarily in Fresno until her passing. In February of 1946 Mary met the love of her life Henry F. Cline soon after his discharge from the Army. Henry and Mary were married on June 3, 1950 and for the next 57 years, had one of the happiest marriages imaginable. Mary worked in the medical field for the majority of her working life. During this time she worked for Community Hospital, Sierra Hospital and a number of private medical doctors. Mary was an avid reader who loved a good mystery novel. She volunteered for The Cancer Society for many years. Mary loved to play cards and some of those she played with claimed she was an expert at counting cards. Mary would rather have been with her family than doing anything else. She loved her family.
