Mark Chan Yep, beloved husband and father was born in Oakdale, CA on July 25, 1952 and passed away unexpectedly at home on March 22, 2020. He graduated from Kerman High School and Fresno City College as well as attended CSU Fresno.
He was a life long business man and co-owner of Valley Food Super Center. Mark married Debra Chu in October 1981 and together they raised two loving children, Scott and Kristen. He loved to travel the world with his family and friends, and derived great joy from his lottery winnings.
Mark was a caring and compassionate man. Above all else he was a wonderful and loving husband, brother and uncle. He always greeted everyone with a smile, and nobody was a stranger. He loved helping and serving his community. We are grateful for the time we had together as a family. He will be sorely missed, forever loved and remembered in our hearts and memories.
He is preceded in death by parents Henry S. Yep and Ching Kong Yep, brother David Mon Yep and sister Judy Hughes.
Mark is survived by brother Jerry Ken Yep and wife Gale, brother Gary Ken Yep, sister Diane Yep, sister Carolyn Yep Carlson and husband David, sister Sandra; as well as nieces and nephews: Michael, Shelby and Tracy Hughes (Samuel Potter), Megan and Rachel Carlson, Jacob Yep and Sydney Yep and their mother Stephanie Yep.
He will also be missed by his extended family: sister-in-law Betty Chu Martin, brother-in-law Gary Hughes, brother-in-law Glenn Chu and wife Sandra, brother-in-law Wayland Chu and wife Deborah; and nieces and nephews: Tyson Chu and wife Linda (Conner and Trevor), Leslie Chu Yelo and husband Maynard (Siena and Tyler), Allison Chu Dean and husband Michael (Aliyah), Ryan Chu and wife Vivian, and April Chu.
Private services will be held; a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
