Marin Vallejo passed away peacefully in his home he had lived in for almost 53 years, surrounded by his wife, Sanjuana Vallejo & family on January 03,2023. He was born in Dallas, TX to Magdalena & Marin Vallejo. Marin was the oldest of 10 children, Yolanda, Cristina, Consuelo, Esperanza, Angela, Armando, David, Rudy and Arturo Vallejo. He graduated from Edgewood High School in San Antonio, TX class of 1961. Shortly after graduation, Marin joined the US Navy where he served a total of 28 years. While he was serving in the US Navy, he then met his late wife, Concepcion. They were married for 45 years until her death in 2011. They shared many happy memories together.
Marin was very involved in the Catholic church. He was baptized at Our lady of Guadalupe church in 1943. He also became a member of the Knight of Columbus. During his spare time Marin loved to volunteer at Saint Agnes and Big Brothers, big sisters of Central California. He loved to fish, travel, listen to Elvis Presley. In 2017 he married Sanjuana, together they traveled to Hawaii, Las Vegas & Yosemite National Park. Marin was a loving, selfless, kind hearted man.
He is preceded in death from his parents, his late wife Concepcion & his brother Rudy Vallejo.
He is survived by his wife Sanjuana Vallejo, her 6 children. Along with his 8 other siblings and grandchildren.
A visitation for Marin will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Whitehurst Sullivan Burns & Blair Funeral Home, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A recitation of holy rosary will occur Monday, January 23, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 836 E. Nees Ave., Fresno, CA 93720. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Mary Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 4636 W. Dakota Ave., Fresno, CA 93722.
