God Opened heaven's doors and welcomed home our Dad, Grandpa, Great-Grandpa and Great-Great-Grandpa on June 29, 2014.

He was preceeded in death by his beloved wife, mother, sisters, brothers, grandson and great-great-granddaughter.

Mariano is survived by his sons, Pete Salcido and wife Gracie, Robert Salcido and wife Becky; daughter, Susan Romero; 11 grandchildren, Antinette Saldate, Mariano and Pete Salcido, Leticia Hernandez, Andrea Martinez, Raul Romero, Mario and Ramona Salcido, Daniel, Christopher and Cristel Salcido; 18 great-grandchildren, Nichole, Ernie and Starla Lopez; Nathan, Grace and Tristan Salcido; Kannon Salcido; Robert Zapata and Priscilla Romero; Jayden Romero; Victoria, Maicee and Jordan Espinoza; Kayden and Kaylee Marquez; Daniel and Miranda Salcido; and Christopher Salcido Jr.; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great-grandfather with a heart for those in need.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. followed by Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
