Queta spent most of her life with her family in California. Her late husband Joe and she shared a married life for more than 60 years. Joe worked for the State and Mary for the Federal government as an IRS tax examiner. Queta was active in building the Mt. Carmel church community as a Guadalupana. She also took part in supporting her husband’s interests as a member of the Wives of the VFW. Mary was a devoted mother. She proudly raised her late children, Adrianne, Belia, and Stephen. Over the years, Union City, Delano, Bakersfield and finally o were home.
It was Fresno, that Joe and Mary found their forever home. Mary opened her home to those she loved and those in need. Mary’s loving and loyal nature led her to share her roof with her widowed mother and others looking for a better life. Mary understood she was in a position to give so she did. When her son and her best friend Father Joseph Frederick Lipke battled cancer, she was their caregiver and companion.
Mary found her strength in God and her happiness in family. Mary is survived by her sister, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren all residing in California.
